Analogical Thinking
Analogies, similes and metaphors are use to think strategically to provide new ideas for problem solving by making associations between objects that seem different.
Figure of speech are also used to help connect the unforeseen to the familiar ones.

Similes
Similes is a figure of speech involving comparison which is " an analogy between the workings of nature and those of humanities" . It is also used to make a description more vivid .
Some examples of similes :
- As quiet as a mouse
- As quick as flash
- As white as sheet
- As black as night
- As blind as a bat
- As big as an elephant
- As black as coal
- As brave as a lion
- As bold as brass
- As busy as a bee
- As cold as ice
- As cool as a cucumber
- As cunning as a fox

Metaphors
A metaphor is a figure of speech that identifies something as the same as some unrelated thing.

Classroom Exercise 1
Select objects from environment that demonstrated practice of Analogical Thinking.
- Computer Mouse originated from a mouse
- Electric Lights originated from the Source of light from the sun
- Air condition originated from wind
Classroom exercise 2
Using three objects and inanimate those object with human characteristics ( confuse, calm, happy, angry, sad, depress, fear, anxiety, shock and proud). Objects are a cup , a computer mouse, a plug, a candle , a pencil and a clock.

I learn that analogical thinking help us see objects in another point of view. For example a characteristics of an object related to a person that cannot be seen only can allow us to connect to the similarities evolving around us.
